Several schools in Tampere join the growing TAZ family and start using ActionTrack platform with the aim of bringing more joy and motivation to learning and teaching.

The schools represent variety of educational stages ranging from elementary schools to junior high schools.

Ilpo Rantanen, history teacher, Juhannuskylä school, Tampere: ”I have had the pleasure of working with Team Action Zone. In the first phase we have been developing ActionTrack activities for teaching history to our pupils in our school.

The first track we created was about the Civil war in Finland in 1918. Many famous events took place in this city and quite near our current school building and we were able to take advantage of that. In the near future, we will also create ActionTracks about the industrialization of Tampere and the cultural history of Tampere.

The teachers of our school spent one Saturday with an ActionTrack adventure and found it really useful. Many teachers already came up with ideas on how to use it in their own subjects, for example in Finnish, biology and math.

Personally, I am looking forward to using these ActionTracks with the students – I am sure history will really come to life for them when we experience it with ActionTrack.”
