Team Action Zone (TAZ) and Young Digital Planet, a company fully owned by Sanoma Corporation, have agreed on a long-term collaboration in the area of K12 education.
TAZ has developed an innovative technology platform that allows mixing virtual and real worlds to create engaging learning experiences, to combine physical exercise as part of any class, to add gamification elements that support learning, as well as to offer practical phenomenon-based teaching.
Currently Young Digital Planet offers two applications developed on the basis of TAZ platform. The first one, Mobile School Trail, is a solution for gamification of lessons, while the second one, Mobile Book Trail, is designed for gamification of books and educational resources. Both can be used either in classrooms or outdoors. YDP products taking advantage of TAZ technology are available in Poland as well as globally, where YDP operates through its partners’ network.
Engaging technology
TAZ technology platforms allow everyone to create their own experience with an easy-to-use web tool and invite users to join in with their mobile devices. One can create a treasure hunt, a city adventure, guided trails, a game to play on a sofa, inductions for new employees, innovative tests and many more. Only the imagination sets the limits. The platform offers various building blocks including location awareness, gamification, interactivity, rich multimedia, as well as easy and quick branding.
